If You Find What You Look For, Then Focus is Your Superpower
You tend to find what you look for, and this holds true in every area of life. Whether it's seeing conspiracies, believing in the generosity of people, or envisioning your version of business success—your focus shapes your outcomes.
The same goes for achieving your goals. The clearer you are on your goal, the more likely you are to achieve it. Goals are like magnets—the clearer, more defined they are, the stronger their pull on your actions.
Today, I'm excited to share insights from Grant Fisher, a Lifestyle Results Coach with over 20 years of experience guiding business owners to success. Grant is my personal coach, and he's played a key role in getting me to where I am today in my business.
Join us as we dive into a topic that many avoid—setting clear goals—and discover how they can impact your life more than you might think.
Redeem Your Business Today
How can we honor our purpose in business?
By doing well in the little things you do every day. The small actions, taken consistently, add up to a massive impact.
One challenge from today:
Set a 90-day goal and commit fully to achieving it. Going all in for the next three months can yield incredible progress.
Six Steps to Achieve Clarity in Your Goals
Purpose: Define your compelling reason for being in business. Understanding your "why" is crucial.
Stretch Your Goals: Goals are like muscles—the more you work them, the stronger they get. Aim high and keep pushing.
Set Habit Goals: As James Clear writes in Atomic Habits,
"You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems and habits."
Make sure your habits align with your goals.
Emotional Connection: Find an emotional reason behind each goal. Your emotions fuel your determination and energy.
Make Agile Goals: Break larger goals into smaller, adaptable steps. Four 90-day goals are often more actionable and effective than a single one-year goal.
Set Up Accountability: No one succeeds alone. Find an accountability partner who can help keep you on track.
Common Challenges for Business Owners
Many business owners struggle to achieve their goals due to:
Lack of a clear vision for the future.
Comfort with the status quo — not being dissatisfied enough with the current state.
Feeling overwhelmed by too many choices and not knowing the next steps to take.
